Mr Klein

Aún no se respira un clima de calor pero poco a poco se esta yendo el frio.... Y las vidrieras, con sus looks primaverales, ya calientan -y adelantan- lo que se viene en la próxima temporada.

Y uno de los colores que va a pisar fuerte es el azul Klein, y en otras variantes, pero este en particular. Es un color vivo y alegre; caí rendida a sus pies en dos prendas de liquidación que rescaté en Europa. Una pollera de Topshop, con volumen y bolsillos, pero informal, ideal para el verano... Y un blazer de Bershka del cual no veo la hora de volver a ponermelo.

Acá en Buenos Aires, encontré un vestido de Zara que también me cautivo y ya estoy pensando en ir a probármelo. Cuando uno esta bronceado, este color queda muy bien. Con negro, blanco, y colores mas fuertes creando un color block, queda muy bien. Te animás a este color??

You can't breath summer yet, but little by little the cold weather is going away... and shopping windows, with its spring collections, warmth -and anticipate- what is coming.

And one of the colours that is going to be a big hit is blue, specially the one known as Klein. It's a vivid and happy colour; I fall in love in Europe with 2 items in this colour: one skirt from Topshop, vaporous, with pockets but ideal for the summer days... and a blazer from Bershka, which I love and can't wait to wear it again.

Here in Buenos Aires, I found a dress at Zara that I really liked and want to try it on. When you have a summer colour on your skin, Klein blue suits really good. With black, white and stronger colours, creating a colour block, it looks really nice. Do you dare to wear this colour??

Vidrieras // Shop Windows

Me llamaron la atención estas 2 vidrieras que vi, una en Barcelona y otra en Berlin, que son muy similares en sus mannequins. Me resultaron bastante creepies, o soy yo!? La de Barcelona recuerdo que era de la tienda Benetton y la de Berlin la verdad que no lo recuerdo.

Será la manera en que las marcas, a traves de sus vidrieras y mannequins, ven lo que pasa hoy en el mundo con la crisis?? Los de Benetton miran al costado, indiferentes, y los que vi en Berlin directamente ni la quieren ver... No se, pero ambos me llamaron la atención, a ustedes?

Two shop windows called my attention while I was in Barcelona and Berlin. Both mannequins are quiet similar -at least to me! I think that they look creepy!! Those faces are not appealing at all. The one of Barcelona is from Benetton, but I can't really remember the one of Berlin.

Is this the way that brands, through their shop windows and mannequins, see the current world crisis?? The ones from Benetton look to other side, indifferent; and the ones from Berlin, they don't even want to look.... Not sure, what they provoke something on me, what do you think?

Si bien seguimos en invierno atravesando una ola polar, queria aprovechar para darle un poco de brillo a este dia gris, mirando lo que se viene para el proximo verano.

Y lo que se viene es el fluo con todo, botas, aros, chalinas, remeras, zapatillas…. Y muchas cosas mas. Aca les dejo una colorida vidriera de Selfridges en Londres, de mi ultimo paso por dicha ciudad. Colores que quedan muy bien cuando estamos bronceados!

Yo ya me traje mis cositas flúos, vos ya sabes que vas a elegir??

Even though here in Buenos Aires we are still in winter and going through a polar wave, I would like to bright your grey day with colour, and taking a look of what we'll see in the summer.

And the trend is fluorescent colours, in almost everything, boots, earings, t-shirts, pashminas, trainers.... and many more. Here you can see the shop window from Selfridges London, from my last trip to that city. Be aware that these colours look better when one is tanned!

Forever 21 for Men

Para mis amigos que me siguen y escuchan mis propuestas, hoy les tiro unos looks para terminar el veranito y comenzar el otoño... Si bien Forever 21 no esta en Argentina -gracias a Dios!- pueden aprovechar las ultimas liquidaciones nacionales y armarse un look del estilo.

Jeans, pantalones con botamanga, remeras estampadas, colores claros, sacos de hilo, zapatillas cancheras y una buena remera basica -escote en V mis favoritas! Ahora, a jugar!

For my lovely male friends, who follow me and listen to my advise, today I'm showing you some looks to end the summer and give a warm welcoming to the autumn... Even though Forever 21 is not in Argentina -thanks God!- you can take advantage of national sales and get the look!

Jeans, graphic tees, soft colours, knit cardigans and sweaters, cool trainers and a basic tee -V neck my choice! Now is time to play!

Raindrops keep falling on my head...

Soy una gran fan de los accesorios y cuanto mas originales mejor! El paraguas forma parte del paisaje urbano, es por eso que no se puede andar con cualquier cosa si a uno realmente le importa ir bien arreglado. Por ello, siempre es bueno tener un clasico paraguas negro que no nos va a fallar.

Pero tambien, podemos arriesgarnos un poquito mas y llevar un paraguas original por su funcionalidad. Este paraguas con anteojeras para poder taparse la cara de esa lluvia molesta, pero sin perder la vision de nuestro camino. No es genial?! Obvio que como soy yo elijo el negro...

I'm a huge fan of accessories, and as more originals as better! The umbrella is part of the urban landscape on the rainy days, so you can't just use any umbrella if you want to look always good. It's really good to count on a classic black umbrella which goes with almost any look.

Though, we can risk a little bit and wear an original umbrella giving its functionality, like this one! You can cover your face from the annoying rain but without losing your way -nor your style! Obviously, I want the black one!

Forever 21 @ 5th Ave.

A pocos meses de haber abierto una tienda en Times Square, mas precisamente donde se encontraba la mítica tienda Virgin -yo estuve cuando te vendían hasta los mostradores!!!-, la tienda Forever 21 abre un nuevo store en la Quinta Avenida, una de las arterias mas concurridas de mi adorada ciudad.

Mañana es el grand opening de este local que contará con 6 pisos, incluyendo uno para hombres en el último... que ganas de estar ahi y que mi cuerpo saboree esas prendas!

Viva el Fast Fashion!!

Just a couple months ago, Forever 21 opened a new store in Times Square -where the former Virgin store was . Tomorrow will be another big opening of a new store at Fifth Avenue, one of the streets with most touristic traffic in my lovely Manhattan.

The six-story store will have everything, including a whole floor dedicated to men... ohh how I wish I could be there diving into the racks full of clothes!!

Un ATM de Balerinas

En estos últimos 5 meses, descubrí las bondades de usar tacos... y también sus consecuencias... Uno se los puede aguantar toda la noche, pero el momento mas duro es a la vuelta, cuando una ya esta cansada y no quiere saber nada con caminar en busca de un taxi, colectivo o un auto que nos transporte a casa.

Por ello, hay gente que piensa en nosotras -y en su economía- y creó esta maquina expendedora de balerinas -Afterheel- hechas de material biodegradable. Por ahora solo se pueden conseguir en algunas discotecas del Reino Unido por menos de €6. Además traen una bolsita para colocar los tacos asesinos... Interesante, no?

Como un bonus, les dejo este link al tema de Robyn donde ella también acusa que los tacos la están matando. Temaso!!

In the last 5 months, I have discovered the benefits of using heels... and its cons too... You can stay on hills all night long, but when the moment to go back home comes, you wish you were transfer directly to your bed, right? Who wants to keep walking on those f* heels to get a ride home??

That's why someone thinks of us -and his/her bank account- and created this expending machine filled with ballerinas -Afterheels-, done of biodegradable material. So far, you can find these machines in some U.K. discotheques for less than €6. They also come with a bag to put you killer heels inside... Interesting right?

As a bonus, in this link you can hear Robyn accusing her heels of killing her. Really cool song!

Lanvin + H&M = Quiero!

Ya apareció la primera imagen de lo que será la colección que Lanvin esta desarrollando para una de mis marcas low cost favoritas, H&M. Mucho negro, me encanta!

Es cuestión de esperar hasta el 23 de noviembre, que es cuando se lanza la línea en las principales tiendas de la marca sueca. Para los que estamos fuera de los beneficiados, tendremos que conformarnos con las imagenes que vengan desde afuera.

We can already see the first image of the new collection for H&M -one of my favorites low cost brand- designed by Lanvin... Full of black, I'm loving it!

We just have to wait till November 23rd to see the collection in the global main stores of the swedish brand. For those of us, that are outside of the market, we have to wait to see some pics from the launch... We're are always left out of the fun =(
